Bleomycin Sulfate is an atineoplastic antibiotic. A mixture of cytotonic glycopeptide antibiotics which reacts with DNA and causes strand scission; they have also been shown to have a type of oxygen transferase activity. Bleomycin A2 is the main component of the bleomycin employed clinically. Bleomycins differ from one another in the terminal amine and show varying biological activity.
