Blocker™ Blocking Buffer, Casein

Blocker™ Casein in PBS or TBS are ready-to-use, solutions of purified casein protein for blocking steps in Western blot, ELISA, IHC and nucleic acid detection methods.

This blocking buffer contains casein protein that is purified from milk by the Hammarsten method. The phosphate and Tris-buffered saline formulations are used for blocking excess binding sites on membranes and microplates in antibody based detection methods. Blocker Casein buffers are 1% (w/v) casein, which corresponds to the optimal concentration for most applications.
