Lock eller förslutningar fungerar som ett skydd mot föroreningar genom att helt täcka öppningen till behållare. De är tillverkade av ogenomsläppliga material för att hindrar partiklar från att komma in samt provförlust genom avdunstning. Lock finns i olika modeller såsom skruvlock, krymplock, propp med normalslippning (NS propp), provrörspropp, säkerhetslock, trycklock och viallock. Beroende på applikation finns lock i glas, plast och metall (aluminium). För vialer har vi även lock med centrumhål och separat septum tillgänglig.
