När man häller stora partiklar i reaktionskärl möjliggör pulvertrattar en ren och snabb procedur. Tillverkade av klart glas eller oförstörbar plast har pulvertrattar en hållbar konstruktion som tillåter användning med olika reagenser och även kemikalier. Pulverbrobildning minimeras av de parallella, korta stammarna. Trattarna kan ha en avsmalnande eller vinklad stam för att passa halsöppningar. Med räfflor för att släppa ut luft erbjuds engångs- eller återanvändbara modeller i olika diametrar.
