Efter lätt fuktning kan de flexibla applikatorerna ta upp rester från ytor av olika form innan provet elu elueras för analys. Insamlingsverktyg med enkel eller dubbel spets är en mindre destruktiv metod än bulkinsamling. För-rengjorda och redo att användas garanterar de engångstoppar att tester förblir fria från kontaminering.
