Tungsten is normally used as a cathode in X-ray tubes. This means that the voltage must be up to about 65 kV before X-rays are formed. Phywe's X-ray tubes only need 10 to 12 kV for the process to start. For the X-ray equipment, there are 3 different X-ray tubes with the anodes made of Cu, Mo and Fe. These are built as plug-in modules and are replaced in a few seconds. Most laboratories can be connected to Phywe's data measurement system COBRA.
