Multipurpose laboratory instrument for handling liquids. It can be used for filtering (in combination with a vacuum filtration unit), pipetting and aspirating liquids. The flow rate during aspirating and filtering, and the aspiration and dispensing speed when pipetting, can both be regulated from the control panel. A vacuum gauge indicates the pressure in the collecting bottle. The vacuum that the tower needs in order to work is created by a diaphragm vacuum pump. Liquid media are prevented from penetrating the pump by a protective sterile filter. The tower is equipped with locking wheels and fits under the laboratory workbench. It is equally convenient for left- and right-handed operation.
