The Multiskan Spectrum is a high performance spectrophotometer for endpoint, kinetic and spectral scanning applications, reading both cuvettes and microplates. It has been designed for a wide range of photometric applications, such as nucleic acid and protein analysis, enzyme assays, cytotoxicity and cell proliferation assays as well as apoptosis assays. The cuvette reading port allows for optimisation of enzyme kinetics in a cell prior to transferring the kinetic protocols to the microplate format - all in the same instrument.
- Both microplate and standard 10×10 mm cuvettes reading capability available
- Easy assay set up with SkanIt software
- Unlimited wavelength selection by monochromator for easy swapping from one assay to another
- Shaking and incubation up to 45 °C for temperature critical applications
- Compatibility with robot systems for automation
The Skanit Software package supplied with the instruments provides easy assay optimisation, flexible data handling and convenient report formatting. The software also has a special remote control interface which enables easy integration with robotics and HIS/LIMS systems.
Ordering information: The Multiskan Spectrum is available in 4 configurations, 2 with the capability to read cuvettes and 2 with only plate reading capability. The other configurations derive from the two Skanit Software packages available: Research Edition for life science research and also a Drug Discovery Edition offering features needed for compliance with the FDA's 21 CFR Part 11. The system requires a PC (not supplied) to control instrument- specifications details on request.
