The GlycoLink™ Immobilisation Kit contains affinity columns and reagents to immobilise glycoproteins through oxidised sugar groups for use in affinity-purification applications or studies of protein-protein interactions. This kit is ideal for purification of antigens using covalently coupled antibodies, determining binding partners for a glycoprotein of interest and for performing large-scale affinity purifications.

• High capacity with 1 to 10 mg of oxidised antibody or other glycoprotein per ml of resin
• Immobilise in as little as 30 minutes; achieve at least 90% coupling of most glycoproteins in less than 4 hours
• Hydrazide-activated UltraLink resin conjugates only to purified glycoproteins whose sugar (eg. sialic acid) groups have been gently oxidised with periodate
• Resonance structure of the hydrazone bonds are sufficiently stable for multiple affinity purifications with one batch of prepared resin; no stabilisation step required
• Immobilises IgG via the Fc region, thereby keeping both antigen binding sites available for capturing target

Antibodies immobilised by this hydrazide immobilisation chemistry have unobstructed antigen-binding sites and optimal purification capability. These columns can be regenerated and reused five times without loss in binding capacity.
