The freebase generation of an isolated organic TFA salt can be easily facilitated using PL-HCO₃ MP SPE tubes, used to remove TFA from HPLC solvent systems. Fractions from a preparative HPLC system can be passed through a PL-HCO₃ MP SPE tube and will effectively neutralise 0,1% TFA solutions from water, acetonitrile and combinations of both solvents.
