The essential multiple adapters are used to connect glassware components to complete the distillation apparatus. Linear formats with side necks join the thermometer and the impure mixture filled distilling flask with the condenser tube. Permitting dual entry into receiving flasks or tubes, multiple adapters are also used to feed the liquefied vapor from the condenser tube into multiple collecting containers. The bent or straight formats have standard cone and socket sizes to fit common distilling instruments.
