CD51 (integrin αV subunit) associates with CD61 (integrin β3 subunit) binding to the RGD sequence in extracellular matrix proteins like vitronectin, fibrinogen, thrombospondin, von Willebrand factor and osteopontin. The αV/β3 heterodimer is expressed in endothelial cells, leukocytes, NK cells, macrophages, neutrophils, platelets and several malignant tumor cells and seems to play a role in embryo implantation, angiogenesis, wound healing and cancer. αV/β3  is also highly expressed in osteoclasts being important for bone resorption.

LTβR is involved in peripheral lymphoid tissue organogenesis and function. The LTα/LTβR receptor system may also have some function in early embryogenesis. LTβR is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the TNF receptor superfamily. It is a 61kDa receptor for the mouse LTα1β2 and LIGHT. Northern blot analysis of tissues from adult mice showed that expression levels of LTβR mRNA were strong in lung, liver, and kidney, moderate in heart and testes, but weak in brain, thymus, spleen, and lymph nodes. It was reported that LTβR is expressed on stromal cells, monocytes, and certain embryonic epithelial layers. LTβR is involved in peripheral lymphoid tissue organogenesis and function. The LTα/LTβR receptor system may also have some function in early embryogenesis.

MDA5 is a highly conserved helicase whose ATPase activity can be stimulated by RNA and less potently by DNA. It contains two N-terminal CARD domains and a C-terminal helicase domain. The helicase domain, once freed from the CARD domains, then translocates from the cytoplasm to the nucleus where it acts on chromatin architecture. This could allow easier access of CAD, thereby accelerating the degradation of genomic DNA.

DR5 is a 55kDa member 10B of the TNF receptor superfamily (TNFRSF10B), also known as TRAIL-R2, TRICK2, KILLER, and CD262. It binds the cytotoxic ligand TRAIL and induces apoptosis. The DR5 receptor is broadly expressed on a variety of normal tissues and many tumors.
