- Description:Recombinant Lys-C, MS grade
rLys-C, MS grade, is a recombinant Lys-C expressed in E. coli. It cleaves at C-terminus of lysines.
- Sequence origin of rLys-C is Protease IV from Pseudomonas aeruginosa
- Optimal activity in the pH range of 8 to 9
- Retains activity in denaturing conditions such as 8 M urea
- Available lyophilised or frozen
The protease is supplied in a lyophilised form along with a reconstitution buffer, which is formulated to increase stability of rLys-C solution. It has been shown to be free of contaminating peptides by reverse-phase HPLC.
This rLys-C is used for digestion of single proteins and complex protein mixtures in-solution and in-gel. It is also applicable for peptide mapping and protein identification.
Frozen rLys-C solution can be stored for a month at −20 °C without detectable loss of activity.
: It includes (1×15 µg) rLys-C, (1×500) µg resuspension buffer.
