The Luciferase SP6 and T7 Control DNAs are used as functional controls in the TNT® Quick Coupled and TNT® Coupled transcription/translation systems.

The control DNAs contain the gene for luciferase under transcriptional control of a phage RNA polymerase promoter. All constructs carry a 30-base pair poly[d(A)/d(T)] tail following the luciferase gene. Control reactions are monitored easily by the production of luminescence, which is generated from full-length luciferase and the addition of necessary components.
