The Wizard® Plus Maxipreps DNA purification system provides a simple and rapid resin based batch column method for purification of plasmid DNA that eliminates the need for cesium chloride:ethidium bromide gradient centrifugation. This system requires only a centrifuge, a vacuum source and a vacuum manifold. This system typically yields 300 μg to 1 mg of high copy number plasmid DNA (200 to 20000 bp) from a 100 to 500 ml culture in less than 3 hours. The purified DNA can be used directly for DNA sequencing and restriction digestion without further manipulation and also can be used in vitro transcription reactions.
