Protein Expression Systems

Protein expression systems make it very easy to sensitively detect various proteins used widely in bioanalytics and molecular biology. Fluorophores or certain vitamins are used to tag antibodies or other proteins, and these labelled molecules can then be purified or detected using other solutions such as streptavidin or monomeric avidin. These protein expression systems are optimized for the rapid synthesis of functionally active proteins.
