You searched for: Prepared Media for Microbiology
Prepared microbiology media support accurate microorganism detection, identification, and cultivation. Saving time by eliminating the requirement to complete the groundwork, the media increase the overall working efficiency for any laboratory. Minimizing the possibility of formula variability, the standardized solutions ensure that data errors do not occur. The prepared microbiology media are plated or contained in tubes to guarantee that the correct nutrient mixtures are present for specific cell types.
Dehydrated culture media, LB-medium, molecular biology grade, MP Biomedicals
Supplier: MP Biomedicals
LB Medium is a nutritionally rich medium originally developed for growth and maintenance of E. coli strains. It supports a luxurious growth of E. coli cells as tryptone and yeast extract supply essential growth factors that E. coli cells would otherwise have to synthesise. The medium also contains essential electrolytes for transport and osmotic balance, due to the NaCl component.

Trypic Soy Broth Bag
Supplier: LIOFILCHEM
TRYPTIC SOY BROTH - BAG is ready to use liquid medium in bag that supports the growth of a wide variety of microorganisms, especially common aerobic and facultatively anaerobic bacteria and fungi, formulated in accordance with ISO 10560:1993. The addition of agar in a concentration 0,1 to 0,2% makes the medium suitable for the growth of obligate anaerobes. The medium is recommended by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the European Pharmacopeia (EP) for counting total anaerobic microorganisms in pharmaceutical products and to test the absence of fungal contamination in pharmaceutical products at 20 to 25 °C.

NBB®-PCR broth
Supplier: DOEHLER GROUP
PCR broth for fast and universal detection of beer spoiling microorganisms, such as lactobacilli, pediococci, Pectinatus and Megasphaera in yeast and clear/cloudy beer samples. NBB®-PCR (pH 5,7 ±0,2) is a ready-to-use enrichment broth for the detection of beer spoiling bacteria by PCR and real-time PCR methods. NBB®-PCR is compatible with all standard PCR and real-time PCR methods from different manufacturers. Due to an optimised and regulated quality-controlled production process, the medium does not contain any ingredients, which impair DNA amplification and detection (realtime PCR). In addition the medium is free from contaminating DNA, which is controlled and ensured by internal and external validations. The medium is optimized for microbiological enrichment and therefore allows no culture detection of bacteria, because no indicator dye is included.
NBB®-PCR broth can be used for the molecular biological detection of:.

Culture Media, EC Blue, Nissui Pharma Solutions
Supplier: Shimadzu Diagnostics Europe
EC Blue is a simple, quick and reliable test method for the qualitative and quantitative determination of coliforms and E.coli in water. Add water to be tested into a pre-prepared, sterile, non-fluorescent EC Blue container. Then incubate the mixture at 35 ±2 °C. The medium does not require further preparation work. This means that the test can be carried out anywhere without much effort. Traditional incubating methods require about three days for the detection of coliforms or E.coli. EC Blue, on the other hand, already provides reliable test results after 24 hours. The detection is based on a colour reaction and is thus easy to interpret: if coliform bacteria are present, the water turns blue due to the cleavage of the chromogenic substrate X-Gal. In the event of faecal contamination by E.coli, these bacteria can only be conclusively detected under UV light (reaction with a fluorescent dye). Suspended matter, cloudy, yellowish or chlorinated water samples do not generally interfere with detection. EC Blue has a shelf life of up to two years at room temperature if protected from light.

Microbiological media in ampoules
Supplier: Cytiva (Formerly Pall Lab)
A wide variety of sterile ampoule media for common microbiological analyses, in clear glass or plastic ampoules. Supplied pre-measured for maximum efficiency and convenience. For public wastewater and drinking water: MF-Endo and M-FC (with and without rosolic acid for helping to increase the specificity of the medium for faecal coliforms) media are used when analysing water samples for total coliforms, faecal coliforms and E. coli. For food and beverage: M-TGE, HPC, M-Green YM, and orange serum broths are used in the food and beverage industry to QC final products (and fluids used in the manufacture of these products) to detect potential spoilage organisms. Trypticase soy broth, M-TGE, and HPC may be used to test final products and process waters for total bacteria in the pharmaceutical and microelectronics industries. Pseudomonas and KF-Streptococcal broths are highly selective media for organisms in these genera, and are used to monitor samples wherever contamination by these organisms must be prevented.
