Supplier: Diagnostic Biosystems
p63 is a homolog of the tumor suppressor p53, it is identified in basal cells in the epithelial layers of a variety of tissues, including epidermis, cervix, urothelium, breast and prostate. p63, vital for the development of the prostate and selectively expressed by normal prostate basal cells, has been shown to be a promising complementary basal cell specific marker to High Molecular Weight-Cytokeratin (HMW-CK), for the differential diagnosis of benign prostatic lesions and prostatic carcinoma. p63 has also been shown to be a sensitive marker for lung squamous cell carcinomas (SqCC), with a sensitivity of ~90% . Specificity for lung SqCC, vs. lung adenocarcinoma (LADC), is approximately 80. In breast tissue, p63 has been identified in myoepithelial cells of normal ducts.

Anti-ROS1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody [clone: EPMGHR2]
Supplier: Diagnostic Biosystems
ROS1 rearrangements occur infrequently in lung ACA, however given the frequency of lung cancer in the population, ROS1-rearranged tumors represent a significant number of cancer patients. Anti-Galectin-3 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [clone: H-5]
Supplier: Diagnostic Biosystems
Galectin-3 is a member of the beta-galactoside-binding protein family that plays an important role in cell adhesion, cell matrix interactions, macrophage activation, angiogenesis, metastasis, and apoptosis.
Galectin-3 shows strong diffuse cytoplasmic staining in most cases of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), most poorly differentiated thyroid cancers demonstrate galectin-3 protein expression while it is not expressed in anaplastic thyroid cancers. (1) Upregulated expression of galectin-3 is involved in cancer progression and metastasis, and it is suggested that Galectin-3 may be a valuable tool to support diagnosis of parathyroid carcinoma. (2)
Galectin-3 has also been reported to play important roles in the progression of prostate cancer, and their heterogeneous expressions might be associated with different cancer subtypes. (3)

Anti-Mammoglobin A Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody [clone: EPR 9092]
Supplier: Diagnostic Biosystems
The mammaglobin gene was first identified using a differential screening approach directed at the isolation of novel, human breast cancer-associated genes. Mammaglobin-A is highly overexpressed in breast cancer cell lines and primary breast tumors. This pattern of expression is restricted to mammary epithelium and metastatic breast tumors. Thus, mammaglobin-A-specific T cell immune responses may provide an important approach for the design of breast cancer-specific immunotherapy.

Anti-Melanoma Cocktail Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Diagnostic Biosystems
The HMB45 clone reacts with a neuraminidase-sensitive oligosaccharide side chain of a glycoconjugate present in immature melanosomes. The HMB45-reactive antigen is present in cutaneous melanocytes, prenatal and infantile retinal pigment epithelium and melanoma cells and is thought to be oncofetal in nature. This antibody has been shown to label the majority of melanomas. Clone A103 recognizes a protein of 20 kDa, identified as MART-1 (melanoma antigen recognized by T cells-1) or Melan-A. Melan-A is a useful addition to melanoma panels as it is apparently specific for melanocytic lesions. Studies have also shown that MART-1 is more sensitive than HMB45 when labeling metastatic melanomas. Tyrosinase is a key enzyme involved in the initial stages of melanin biosynthesis. Studies have shown tyrosinase to be a more sensitive marker when compared to HMB45 and MART-1. It has been shown to label a higher percentage of desmoplastic melanomas than HMB45. The combination of HMB45, MART-1 and tyrosinase make this triple antibody cocktail a first-order pan melanoma screener.
