Anti-TP53 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [clone: CTA53-1]
Supplier: Prosci
This gene encodes a tumor suppressor protein containing transcriptional activation, DNA binding, and oligomerization domains. The encoded protein responds to diverse cellular stresses to regulate expression of target genes, thereby inducing cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, senescence, DNA repair, or changes in metabolism. Mutations in this gene are associated with a variety of human cancers, including hereditary cancers such as Li-Fraumeni syndrome. Alternative splicing of this gene and the use of alternate promoters result in multiple transcript variants and isoforms. Additional isoforms have also been shown to result from the use of alternate translation initiation codons. [RefSeq]

Anti-TNFRSF10C Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical
Apoptosis is induced by certain cytokines including TNF and Fas ligand in the TNF family through their death domain containing receptors. TRAIL/Apo2L is a new member of the TNF family and induces apoptosis of a variety of tumor cell lines. DR4 and DR5 are the recently identified functional receptors for TRAIL. Two decoy receptors for TRAIL have been identified and designated DcR1/TRID/TRAIL-R3/LIT and DcR2/TRAIL-R4/TRUNDD. DcR1 has extracellular TRAIL-binding domain but lacks intracellular signaling domain. It is a glycophospholipid-anchored cell surface protein. DcR1 transcripts are expressed in many normal human tissues but not in most cancer cell lines. Overexpression of DcR1 did not induce apoptosis, but attenuated TRAIL-induced apoptosis.

Hemin
Supplier: ALADDIN SCIENTIFIC
Hemin chloride, a heme oxygenase 1 inducer, is a porphyrin complex that is derived from erythrocytes. At a concentration of 20 mM Hemin chloride demonstrated the significance of heme in myotube maturation by increasing size, number, cross-striations, and contraction frequency and strength of myotubes. The compound has been observed to induce cGMP formation through induction of guanylate cyclase. Hemin chloride has been noted to stimulate calcium-dependent K+ channels and modulate fluid transport and Na+ in the loop of henle in rat studies. Hemin has also been documented to give rise to active chloride secretion in Caco-2 cells. In cadmium injured rat testes, hemin chloride demonstrated anti-apoptotic, antiinflamatory and antioxidant properties. Through reactive oxygen species of ERK-1/2-Elk-1 and NF-κB, hemin chloride has been shown to upregulate Egr-1 expression in vascular smooth muscle cells. It has also been used in solution to prepare agar medium for the cultivation of distinct bacteria.A porphyrin complex heme oxygenase-1 inducer with acts in cellular protection and control

Anti-GRIA2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Prosci
The ion channels activated by glutamate are typically divided into two classes. Those that are sensitive to N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) are designated NMDA receptors (NMDAR) while those activated by alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxalone propionic acid (AMPA) are known as AMPA receptors (AMPAR). The AMPAR are comprised of four distinct Glutamate Receptor Subunits designated (GluR1-4) and they play key roles in virtually all excitatory neurotransmission in the brain (Keinänen et al., 1990;Hollmann and Heinemann, 1994). The GluR2 subunit is thought to play a key role in forms of synaptic plasticity such as LTD (Chung et al., 2003)

Anti-KCNC1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Prosci
Voltage-gated K+ channels are important determinants of neuronal membrane excitability. Moreover, differences in K+ channel expression patterns and densities contribute to the variations in action potential waveforms and repetitive firing patterns evident in different neuronal cell types (Maletic-Savatic et al., 1995; Pongs, 1999; Blaine and Ribera, 1998; Burger and Ribera, 1996). The Kv3.1 potassium channel is expressed at high levels in neurons that characteristically fire rapid trains of action potentials (Gan et al., 1999). Particularly high levels of this channel are found in neurons of the auditory brainstem. These neurons appear to participate in neural circuits that determine the intensity and timing of auditory stimuli and use this information to determine the location of sounds in space (von Hehn et al., 2004).

Human Recombinant EPO (from CHO cells)
Supplier: Peprotech
Erythropoietin (EPO) is a glycoprotein hormone that is principally known for its role in erythropoiesis, where it is responsible for stimulating proliferation and differentiation of erythroid progenitor cells. The differentiation of CFU-E (Colony Forming Unit-Erythroid) cells into erythrocytes can only be accomplished in the presence of EPO. Physiological levels of EPO in adult mammals are maintained primarily by the kidneys, whereas levels in fetal or neonatal mammals are maintained by the liver. EPO also can exert various non-hematopoietic activities, including vascularization and proliferation of smooth muscle, neural protection during hypoxia, and stimulation of certain B cells. PeproTech’s Human EPO contains 166 amino acid residues and has a calculated molecular weight of approximately 18.4 kDa. As a result of glycosylation, Recombinant Human EPO migrates with an apparent molecular mass of 37.0 kDa by SDS-PAGE gel, under reducing and non-reducing conditions.

Human Recombinant SDF-1beta (from E. coli)
Supplier: Peprotech
SDF-1α and β are stromal-derived, CXC chemokines that signal through the CXCR4 receptor. SDF-1α and β chemoattract B and T cells, and have been shown to induce migration of CD34+ stem cells. Additionally, the SDF-1 proteins exert HIV-suppressive activity in cells expressing the CXCR4 receptor. Human and murine SDF-1 proteins act across species. SDF-1α and β contain the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CXC chemokines. The mature SDF-1β protein, produced by an N-terminal truncation of two additional amino acids, after removal of the signal sequence, contains 72 amino acid residues. Recombinant Human SDF-1β (CXCL12) is an 8.5 kDa protein containing 72 amino acid residues.

Mouse Recombinant GDF-5 (from E. coli)
Supplier: Peprotech
GDF-5 is expressed in long bones during embryonic development and postnatally in articular cartilage. Mutations in the GDF-5 gene have been implicated in Hunter-Thompson type dwarfism and in Grebe Syndrome, which is characterized by short stature, extra digits, and short and deformed extremities. The mature and functional form of GDF-5 is a homodimer of two 120 amino acid polypeptide chains (monomers) linked by a single disulfide bond. Each GDF-5 monomer is expressed as the C-terminal part of a precursor polypeptide, which also contains a 27 amino acid signal peptide and a 348 amino acid propeptide. This precursor undergoes intracellular dimerization, and upon secretion it is processed by a furin-type protease. Recombinant Murine GDF-5 (BMP-14/CDMP-1) is a 27.0 kDa homodimeric disulfide-linked protein consisting of two 120 amino acid polypeptide chains.

Anti-Gja1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Gap junctional intercellular communication is thought to play a key role in development and may also be involved in epilepsy (Aronica et al., 2001). Connexin 43 forms gap-junctional channels and regulates the permeability of these gap junctions to small organic molecules. Permeability of connexin 43 is known to be regulated by phosphorylation at Ser368 by protein kinase C (Yogo et al., 2002; Bao et al., 2004a). Phosphorylation of Ser368 by PKC induces a conformational change of connexin 43 that results in a decrease in gap junction permeability (Bao et al., 2004b).

Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride monohydrate
Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Ciprofloxacin is a fluorinated quinolone antibacterial agent which is highly effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria and mycoplasma.
Ciprofloxacin is most commonly used to treat infections of the skin, bone, sinus, lung, abdomen, and bladder. It can also be used to treat some sexually transmitted infections. Additionally, ciprofloxacin can be used after exposure to inhalation anthrax to reduce the chance of developing an infection.
During the proliferation phase of a bacterium a segmental twisting and untwisting of the chromosomes take place. An enzyme called DNA gyrase plays a decisive part in this process. Ciprofloxacin inhibits this DNA gyrase in a way that arrests the bacterial metabolism, since vital information can no longer be read from the bacterial chromosome. Ultimately, it affect DNA replication & cell division.

Dasatinib
Supplier: Adipogen
The BCR-ABL oncogene triggers intracellular signaling, activating multiple transduction cascades, promoting the growth, proliferation and survival of hematopoietic cells. BCR-ABL plays a role in defective DNA repair, alteration of cellular adhesion and inhibition of apoptosis. Degregulated BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase activity is the molecular marker for CML. Inhibiting BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase activity leads to the induction of apoptosis and inhibits cellular proliferation in vitro and there are various BCR-ABL isoforms with differing activity levels as well. Dasatinib (BMS-354825, Sprycel®) is a potent multi-target kinase inhibitor of BCR-ABL. Dasatiinib performs better against ABL kinase than earlier drugs such as imatinib, and Dasatinib also is effective against SRC family of kinases, and other receptor kinases such as EPHA2, PDGFR, and c-Kit. Dasatinib's inhibiting potential against Src family kinase members is greater (IC(50) 0.5nM) than its inhibitory activity against ABL (1nM).

Anti-GRM5 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Prosci
The metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluRs) are key receptors in the modulation of excitatory synaptic transmission in the central nervous system. They are implicated in many forms of neural plasticity as well as learning and memory and drug abuse. Group I metabotropic glutamate receptors (consisting of mGluR1 and mGluR5) are G-protein-coupled neurotransmitter receptors that are localized in the perisynaptic region of the postsynaptic membrane. When activated, Group I mGluRs lead to stimulation of phospholipase and activation of Protein Kinase C. In contrast activation of Group II metabotropic receptors (mGluR2 and mGluR3) leads to inhibition of adenylate cyclase.

Human ESP1/CRP2 protein has two LIM domains, and each shares 35.1% and 77 or 79% identical residues with human cysteine-rich protein (CRP) and rat CRIP, respectively. Northern blot analysis of ESP1/CRP2 in various human tissues showed distinct tissue distributions compared with CRP and CRIP, suggesting that each might serve related but specific roles in tissue organization or function. Using a panel of human-rodent somatic cell hybrids, the ESP1/CRP2 locus was assigned to chromosome 14. Fluorescence in situ hybridization, using cDNA and a genome DNA fragment of the ESP1/CRP2 as probes, confirms this assignment and relegates regional localization to band 14q32.3.
