Anti-DUSP13 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (HRP (Horseradish Peroxidase))

Supplier: Bioss

Members of the protein-tyrosine phosphatase superfamilycooperate with protein kinases to regulate cell proliferation anddifferentiation. This superfamily is separated into two familiesbased on the substrate that is dephosphorylated. One family, thedual specificity phosphatases (DSPs) acts on both phosphotyrosineand phosphoserine/threonine residues. This gene encodes differentbut related DSP proteins through the use of non-overlapping openreading frames, alternate splicing, and presumed differenttranscription promoters. Expression of the distinct proteins fromthis gene has been found to be tissue specific and the proteins maybe involved in postnatal development of specific tissues. A proteinencoded by the upstream ORF was found in skeletal muscle, whereasthe encoded protein from the downstream ORF was found only intestis. In mouse, a similar pattern of expression was found.Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants were described, but the full-length sequence of only some were determined.[provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].

Anti-SLC6A13 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Cy3®)

Supplier: Bioss

The GAT1 gene family includes sodium- and chloride-dependent plasma membrane transporters for neurotransmitters, metabolites and osmolites, which couple substrate flux to transmembrane electrochemical gradients. PROT (Sodium-dependent proline transporter), also known as Solute carrier family 6 member 7, is a 636 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that is a GAT1 family member specifically expressed in regions of the brain. PROT terminates the action of proline by its high affinity sodium/chloride-dependent reuptake into pre-synaptic terminals. Enriched in glutamatergic synaptic terminals, it is likely that PROT plays an important role in excitatory events of neurotransmission. PROT-mediated proline uptake is inhibited by compounds such as benztropine, LP-403812 and Des-Tyr-Leu-enkephalin (GGFL). These inhibitors of proline uptake may lead to the development of therapeutic agents for certain neurologic disorders.

Anti-PMAIP1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Noxa Antibody: Apoptosis is related to many diseases and development. The p53 tumor-suppressor protein induces apoptosis through transcriptional activation of several genes including p53R2, p53AIP1, and PUMA. A new p53 target gene, Noxa, was recently identified, which encodes a protein belonging to the subfamily of BH3-only proapoptic proteins. Noxa and PUMA are both transcriptional targets of p53 and BH3-only proteins. X-ray irradiation increased p53-dependent Noxa mRNA and protein levels. Noxa, when ectopically expressed, interacted with anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members, resulting in the activation of caspase-9. Noxa, like PUMA, localized to mitochondria and induces apoptosis in response to p53. Noxa and PUMA may represent direct mediators of p53-induced apoptosis. Increased levels of p53 and its target gene Noxa was found in the impaired tumor development.

Anti-NGFRAP1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

The p75 neurotrophin receptor (p75NTR) is a member of the tumor necrosis receptor superfamily and can mediate cell death and cell survival in response to nerve growth factor (NGF). The p75NTR-associated cell death executor (NADE) mediates apoptosis by interacting with the cell death domain of p75NTR following the binding of NGF by p75NTR. Recent studies have shown that NADE also interacts with second mitochondria-derived activator of caspase (Smac). Co-expression of NADE and Smac promotes TRAIL-induced apoptosis and inhibits XIAP-mediated Smac ubiquitization. It has been suggested that it is this interaction between NADE and Smac that allows apoptosis to proceed. Finally, although initially discovered as an mRNA expressed in ovarian granulosa cells, NADE has been suggested to play a role in the neuronal death seen in epileptic brain damage.

Anti-TP53AIP1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-TP53AIP1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

The p53 tumor-suppressor protein can induce apoptosis through transcriptional activation of several genes. One such protein p53AIP was initially identified through direct cloning of p53 binding sequences from human genomic DNA. Its expression is inducible by p53 following p53 phosphorylation on Ser-46, and ectopic expression of p53AIP leads to apoptotic cell death. Both the phosphorylation of p53 and the induction of p53AIP were blocked by inhibiting the expression of p53DINP1 by the introduction of antisense oligonucleotides to p53DINP1, suggesting that the apoptosis associated with p53AIP expression is regulated by p53DINP1. Finally, as adenovirus-mediated introduction of p53AIP has been shown to suppress tumor growth in vivo, it has been suggested that p53AIP gene transfer may become a useful strategy for the treatment of p53-resistant cancers. Three isoforms of p53AIP are known to exist; this antibody will detect all three.

Anti-BCL2L13 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-BCL2L13 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Prosci

Bcl-rambo Antibody: Apoptosis plays a major role in normal organism development, tissue homeostasis, and removal of damaged cells. Disruption of this process has been implicated in a variety of diseases such as cancer. Members of the Bcl-2 family are known to be critical regulators of this process. These proteins are characterized by the presence of several conserved motifs termed Bcl-2 homology (BH) domains. A novel, widely expressed member termed Bcl-rambo was recently identified. This protein is localized to mitochondria in mammalian cells and its overexpression induces apoptosis which could be blocked by co-expression of inhibitor of apoptosis proteins (IAPs) such as XIAP, cIAP1, and cIAP2. Bcl-rambo shows overall homology to the anti-apoptotic members containing BH motifs, but unlike Bcl-2, the C-terminal membrane anchor of Bcl-rambo is preceded by a unique 250 amino acid insertion. This region by itself can induce apoptosis more efficiently than the Bcl-2 homology regions, suggesting that Bcl-rambo may be important other pro-apoptotic pathways.

Anti-ETRA Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-ETRA Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences

Endothelins are vasoactive peptides that exist in three forms (ET-1, ET-2, and ET-3), and function in the maintenance of vascular tone via two identified seven transmembrane-spanning domain-containing G protein-coupled receptors (GPCR), endothelin A (ETA) and endothelin B (ETB). The human ETA receptor is primarily expressed in vascular smooth muscle cells, including those of the heart (also in myocytes), lung, and brain, and its stimulation generally results in vasoconstriction. Activation of ETA receptors can be stimulated by binding of ET-1 and ET-2, but not ET-3. triggering the release of vasorelaxive factors such as nitric oxide (NO) and prostanoids from endothelial cells. Human ETB receptors are primarily expressed in endothelial cells lining the vessel walls of the lungs, heart, and brain, and in contrast to ETA receptors, stimulation generally results in transient vasodilation. Activation of ETB receptors can be stimulated by binding of all three endothelins, triggering the release of vasorelaxive factors such as nitric oxide (NO) and prostanoids from endothelial cells. Both ETA and ETB receptors signal primarily via coupling to Gq/11 alpha subunits, although Gi/o and Gs coupling are also established mechanisms of endothelin signaling, resulting in stimulation of phospholipases C, A2, and D.
