Anti-ORAI1 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [Clone: [6D11A11]]

Anti-ORAI1 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [Clone: [6D11A11]]

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

Antigen stimulation of immune cells triggers Ca++ entry through Ca++ release-activated Ca++ (CRAC) channels. ORAI1 is a recently identified four-transmembrane spanning protein that is an essential component of CRAC. A missense mutation in this protein in humans is the cause of one fo rm of hereditary severe combined immune deficiency (SCID) which results in ablated T-cell Ca++ entry. It has been suggested that ORAI1 functions as a highly selective Ca++ plasma membrane channel that is gated through interactions with STIM1, the store-activated endoplasmic reticulum Ca++ sensor. ORAI1 often migrates at a higher than expected molecular weight in SDS-PAGE. This antibody is predicted to have no cross-reactivity to ORAI2 or ORAI3.

Anti-TMEM38A Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-TMEM38A Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

TMEM38A and TMEM38B are two recently identified trimeric intracellular cation (TRIC) channel subtypes. TMEM38A is preferentially expressed in excitable tissues such as striated muscle and brain and localizes to the sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) in muscle tissues. Mice deficient in both TMEM38A and TMEM38B suffer embryonic cardiac failure; the cardiac myocytes display severe dysfunction in SR Ca2+ handling, weakened Ca2+ release, and reduced K+ permeability indicating that the TRIC cation channels are likely to act as counter-ion channels that function in synchronization with Ca2+ release from intracellular stores. Other experiments have shown that TMEM38A and TMEM38B can act with junctophilin proteins to support efficient ryanodine receptor-mediated Ca2+ release in muscle cells.

Anti-CCL22 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Cy5®)

Supplier: Bioss

The MDC gene is one of several Cys-Cys (CC) cytokine genes which are clustered on the q arm of chromosome 16. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by MDC displays chemotactic activity for natural killer cells, chronically activated T lymphocytes, monocytes and dendritic cells. It has no chemoattractant activity for eosinophils, neutrophils and resting T lymphocytes and also displays a mild activity for primary activated T lymphocytes. The product of this gene binds to chemokine receptor CCR4. This chemokine may play a role in the trafficking of activated T lymphocytes to inflammatory sites and other aspects of activated T lymphocyte physiology.

Anti-SPP24 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Alexa Fluor® 750)

Supplier: Bioss

SPP24, also known as secreted phosphoprotein 2, is a 211 amino acid secreted protein that belongs to the cystatin superfamily. Expressed in liver and plasma, SPP24 may play a role in coordinating an aspect of bone turnover. The gene that encodes SPP24 maps to human chromosome 2, which consists of 237 million bases encoding over 1,400 genes, making up approximately 8% of the human genome. A number of genetic diseases are linked to genes on chromosome 2. Harlequin icthyosis, a rare and morbid skin deformity, is associated with mutations in the ABCA12 gene. The lipid metabolic disorder sitosterolemia is associated with ABCG5 and ABCG8. An extremely rare recessive genetic disorder, Alstr syndrome is due to mutations in the ALMS1 gene. Interestingly, chromosome 2 contains what appears to be a vestigial second centromere and vestigial telomeres which gives credence to the hypothesis that human chromosome 2 is the result of an ancient fusion of two ancestral chromosomes seen in modern form today in apes.

Anti-ZNF346 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

ZNF346, also known as JAZ (just another zinc-finger protein), is a nucleolar, zinc finger protein which preferentially binds to double-stranded (ds) RNA or RNA/DNA hybrids with high affinity via C2H2 zinc fingers. ZNF346 contains four CH-type zinc finger motifs that are connected by long (28-38) amino acid linker sequences. ZNF346 is expressed in all tissues tested and localizes to the nucleus, primarily the nucleolus. ZNF346 is exported by exportin-5 but translocates back into nuclei by a facilitated diffusion mechanism. ZNF346 interacts with ILF3 in an RNA-independent manner and may be involved in cell growth and survival.

Anti-MARCH8 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-MARCH8 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

MARCH8 (c-MIR) is a novel E3 ubiquitin ligase designated as the modulator of immune recognition (MIR) family, whose catalytic domain is a variant RING domain (RING-CH domain). MARCH8 was found as a functional and structural homolog of KSHV MIR1 and MIR2. MARCH8 targets B7-2 to lysosomal degradation and down-regulates the B7-2 surface expression through ubiquitination of its cytoplasmic tail. Furthermore, MARCH8 has been shown to down-regulate the expression of transferrin receptor and Fas, an important molecule for the induction of apoptosis. MARCH8 is the first example of an E3 ubiquitin ligase that is capable of inhibiting MHC II expression. Recent findings suggest that MARCH8 may regulate immune responses by promoting ubiquitination of MHC-II and CD86, leading to their subsequent endocytosis and lysosomal degradation.

Anti-HAAO Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-HAAO Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

HAAO (3-Hydroxyanthranilate 3, 4-dioxygenase) is a monomeric cytosolic protein of the family of intramolecular dioxygenases containing non-heme ferrous iron. It is widely distributed in peripheral organs, such as liver and kidney, and is present in low amounts in the central nervous system. This enzyme participates in tryptophan metabolism. It employs one cofactor, iron. HAAO catalyzes the synthesis of quinolinic acid (QUIN) from 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid. QUIN is an excitotoxin whose toxicity is mediated by its ability to activate glutamate N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors. Increased cerebral levels of QUIN may participate in the pathogenesis of neurological and inflammatory disorders. HAAO has been suggested to play a role in disorders associated with altered tissue levels of QUIN. Furthermore, recent study shows that HAAO are excellent candidate biomarkers for detecting ovarian cancer.

Anti-KLRA1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-KLRA1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

KLRA1 (also known as Ly49L) is a member of the LY49 family of receptors in Natural Killer (NK) cells that bind to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class 1. These proteins are classified as either activating or inhibitory receptors based on whether they possess an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM) in their cytoplasmic region (for inhibitory receptors), or an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM) that transmits activating signals resulting in phosphorylation of several substrates. KLRA1 is thought to be an activating receptor, inducing DAP12 phosphorylation in response to antibody-mediated cross-linking of KLRA1 on NK cells.

Anti-SHISA4 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

SHISA4 plays an essential role in the maturation of presomitic mesoderm cells by individual attenuation of both FGF and WNT signaling. The Shisa family of single-transmembrane proteins is characterized by an N-terminal cysteine-rich domain and a proline-rich C-terminal region. Its founding member, Xenopus Shisa, promotes head development by antagonizing Wnt and FGF signaling. Shisa physically interacted with immature forms of the Wnt receptor Frizzled and the FGF receptor within the ER and inhibited their posttranslational maturation and trafficking to the cell surface. Loss of Shisa function sensitized the neuroectoderm to Wnt signaling and suppressed head formation during gastrulation.

Anti-SLC39A2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

The zinc transporter ZIP2, also known as SLC39A2, is a member of a family of divalent ion transporters. Zinc is an essential ion for cells and plays significant roles in the growth, development, and differentiation. Similar to knock-outs of ZIP1 and ZIP3, ZIP2-null mice have no phenotypic differences compared to wild-type mice. Only when ZIP1, ZIP2, and ZIP3 genes are all eliminated and these mutant mice are fed a zinc-deficient diet do abnormalities such as reduced embryonic-membrane bound alkaline phosphatase activity and abnormal development occur, indicating that the ZIP1-3 proteins play an important, noncompensatory role when zinc is deficient. More recent studies have shown that ZIP2 and ZIP3 are down regulated in human prostate adenocarcinomatous glands, and may be important in the retention of zinc in the cellular compartment.

Anti-KLF4 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [Clone: [4G6E11]]

Anti-KLF4 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [Clone: [4G6E11]]

Supplier: Rockland Immunochemical

KLF4 is a transcription factor that functions as both a transcriptional activator and repressor to regulate proliferation and differentiation of multiple cell types. The role of KLF4 in embryonic development suggested that it might be useful in the creation of stem cells that might be useful in cell replacement therapies in the treatment of several degenerative diseases. Artificial stem cells, termed induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells, can be created by expressing KLF4 and the transcription factors POU5F1, Sox2, and Lin28 along with c-Myc in mouse fibroblasts. More recently, experiments have demonstrated that iPS cells could be generated using expression plasmids expressing KLF4, Sox2, POU5F1 and c-Myc, eliminating the need for virus introduction, thereby addressing a safety concern for potential use of iPS cells in regenerative medicine. KLF4 interacts directly with POU5F1 and Sox2 in iPS and ES cells and activates the target gene NANOG.
