Vitrectomy scissors are pencil-style scissors with a new, ergonomic handle design with micro-blades that are easy to clean. Two models available, straight and angled. These scissors designed for vitrectomy, an ophthalmalogical procedure.
Vitrectomy is the surgical removal of some or all of the vitreous humor, the gel that fills the eyeball, in order to correct retinal issues like retinal tears, macular holes, floaters and more. During surgery, an ophthalmologist penetrates the white of the eye, the sclera, and inserts the instruments necessary to complete the surgery.
