CTAB is a cationic detergent used in the extraction of genomic DNA from bacteria and for the isolation of high molecular weight DNA from plants for plamid minipreps and for PCR.
The Solution contains 1% CTAB, 100 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8,0), 20 mM EDTA (pH 8,0) and 1.4 M Sodium Chloride.
