Advantec offers both supported and unsupported Hydrophobic PTFE membrane filters.

Grade J-type is laminated with a polypropylene mesh support which offers improved handling. Operating temperature range: –35 to 130 °C.

Grade T-type is unsupported. Operating temerature range is –120 to 260 °C.

Applications: Sterilize gases and trap aqueous aerosols. Protect vacuum pumps by allowing gases to pass freely while blocking aqueous liquids. Vent critical samples. Sterilize and clarify strong acids and many other solvents incompatible with other membranes.

This filter media is inherently hydophobic. The filter is thin, highly porous and behaves as an absolute retentive membrane. Inert to most chemically aggressive solvents, strong acids and bases, PTFE membranes offer maximum chemical and pH resistance.
