A unique dual-calibration system provides an accuracy and reproducibility of better than ±1%.

Capillary bores are made of glass except for the 100 to 1000 µl volume and 1000 µl volume models, which are made of precision-molded plastic. Users can set whole or fractional microliter volumes.

A cutout in the barrel of the unit permits a visual check for proper insertion of the capillary bore. A calibration mark on each bore allows for a visual check for complete delivery, and a color-coded mark on the bore lines up with the stainless steel plunger when the dispenser is set at full capacity.

Ordering information: The 10 µl unit comes with replacement bores and an Allen wrench. The larger dispensers are supplied with an accessory kit that includes replacement bores, an Allen wrench, replacement fluoropolymer resin plunger tips, a tip-replacement block, tip resizing tools, and a plunger replacement gauge.

Services: "Premium Pre-Calibrated Cobra® Pipettors include ISO 17025 NIST Traceble Calibration Certificates, including 10 measurments at 3 volumes. All calibrations are conducted under an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. Certificate includes all data as found and as left (and uncertainties).

VWRCatalyst™ Services provides convenient and efficient recalibration services for pipettors, with an industry leading 3 business day average turn-around time from receipt of the instrument. Services are performed by a VWR® selected ISO/IEC 17025, NVLAP accredited supplier (NVLAP Lab code 105013-0), with calibration certificate traceable to NIST. Recalibration, ISO 17025 certification, and shipping fees are all included in the catalog number cost. Three different levels of calibration can be selected based on specific needs.
Customers will receive a specially designed protective box to ship the instrument to a certified calibration laboratory, along with a work order form and a pre-paid return shipping label. Upon receipt at the laboratory, the instrument will be inspected for any defects and the performance of the instrument will be compared to certified standards. After recalibration, the calibration report and instrument will be carefully repacked and returned with standard ground shipping.
