BalanCD CHO Feed 2 is a chemically-defined, animal component-free feed medium designed to increase process yields of antibodies and recombinant proteins in Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells in fed-batch mode. These feeds have the capability to more than double the growth and protein production when compared to a batch culture. BalanCD CHO Feed 1 was designed to be used in conjunction with BalanCD CHO Growth A. BalanCD CHO Feed 2 was designed to be used with a wide range of growth media for optimal performance in fed-batch cultures.

The BalanCD™ CHO Feed 2 has been tested with three model cell lines (CHO-S, CHO-M, and CHO DHFR). BalanCD™ CHO Feed 2 is comprised solely of animal component-free, chemically defined components, contains no antibiotics or antimycotics, and has proven stability in both powder and liquid formats.
