BalanCD CHO Perfusion is a chemically defined medium that is optimized for the growth and production of suspension CHO cell cultures in continuous, steady-state, and N-1 perfusion cultures. As a high performing medium, it can achieve key perfusion metrics including cell-specific productivity, volumetric productivity, and cell-specific perfusion rate (CSPR). BalanCD CHO Perfusion medium meets the requirements of large-scale industrial cell cultures and is intended for long-term, continuous culturing of CHO cells. BalanCD CHO Perfusion is a chemically defined and animal component-free complete growth medium for Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells specifically designed for growth and productivity in a continuous steady-state perfusion process. BalanCD CHO Perfusion is provided without L-Glutamine to extend shelf life. The recommended L-Glutamine concentration to add is 4 to 8 mM (20 to 40 ml/L). Glucose should be monitored during culture as additional supplementation may be required. BalanCD CHO Perfusion has been designed to support high cell densities of CHO cell lines in perfusion-capable bioreactors at a minimum of 1 vessel volume per day. The medium does not contain antibiotics, antimycotics, protein hydrolysates or any other undefined components.
Packaging: Store at 2 to 8 °C. Shelf life: 12 months (liquid) or 24 months (powder) from date of manufacture.
