The HiBind® DNA Maxi Column facilitates the binding, washing, and elution steps, thus enabling multiple samples to be simultaneously processed. Although yields vary according to plasmid copy number, E.coli strain, and conditions of growth, 50–200mL of overnight culture in LB medium typically produces 0.5–1mg of high copy number plasmid DNA. Up to 500mL of culture may be processed when working with low copy number plasmid. The product is suitable for automated fluorescent DNA sequencing (typical reads exceed 800bp), restriction enzyme digestion, transfection of mammalian cells, transcription in vitro, and other applications.
