Nalgene® Filter Membranes, Thermo Scientific
About this item
Filter membranes are ideal for use in particulate and microbial analysis.
The cellulose acetate membranes have an excellent chemical resistance to alcohol and oil and are able to be used in short-term contact with methyl ethyl ketone. They are suited for liquid scintillation studies and can be cleared for direct observation using paraffin or almond oil.
The celluose nitrate membranes feature superior recovery of microorganisms and are useful for sterility testing as well as food and beverage testing.
The nylon membranes have extremely low levels of extractables and require no wetting agent. They are useful for aqueous and organic solvent filtrations, sterilizing buffers and culture media, and use with HPLC solvents.
