System is engineered to help protect healthcare workers from accidental exposure to contagious specimens

The specimen is collected directly into a 50mL shatter-resistant conical tube through a funneled collection bay. Then, a recloseable collection flap seals off the collection end to prevent contamination. The hinge design of the collection funnel allows the clinician to attach the screw cap to the conical tube without touching the top of the specimen tube or the cap. The specimen tube can then be detached and used for digestion, decontamination, or centrifugation. Tubes withstand up to 3500rpm.
