Self-adhesive, nontoxic, chemical process indicators change from purple to green upon exposure to ethylene oxide.
Conform to AAMI ST60 and ISO 11140-1, Section 6 for Class 1 Process Indicators.
The color transition is sensitive to time, temperature, and presence of ethylene oxide. The exposure required for a color change is 600mg/L of ethylene oxide for a minimum of 30 minutes at 50–70% RH and 30°C (86°F). At longer exposure times or higher temperatures, the indicators exhibit a brighter shade of green. When exposed, imprinted indicators 19872-032 read “GREEN IS ETO EXPOSED.” Indicators have 24-month shelf life from date of manufacture when stored at room temperature.
