Units employ severe oxidation conditions to rapidly determine oxidation stability
Bath temperature is controlled by an electronic solid state controller with °C/°F switchable digital set point and display. Pressure vessel carriage vanes circulate the bath oil to ensure temperature uniformity. Built-in limit control interrupts power if temperature exceeds 177°C (350°F).
Constant temperature bath rotates oxidation pressure vessels at 100rpm at an angle of 30°. Baths have a fully insulated, welded stainless steel interior and chemical-resistant polyurethane-finished exterior and cabinet. Hinged cover section provides access to vessel carriages. Convenient carriage arrangement allows oxidation vessels to be inserted quickly and securely in the drive system. Drive shafts ride on PTFE fluorocarbon bearings, which are compatible with silicone heat transfer fluids and other types of bath oils. Vapor barriers close round vessel stems to contain vapors from the hot bath medium.
