Kit has been optimized to incorporate 1-3 biotinylated ribonucleotides (biotin-N4-CTP) onto the 3' end of DNA strands where the label will be less likely to interfere with hybridization or sequence-specific binding of proteins.

  • Non isotopic labeling eliminates the hassle of hazardous radioactive materials or difficult-to-dispose-of waste
  • 1-3 biotinylated ribonucleotides onto the 3' end of DNA strands for less interference with hybridisation or sequence-specific binding of proteins
  • Biotin-labeled probes are stable for more than one year
  • Fast, efficient 30-minute labeling procedure

The 30-minute procedure uses non-isotopic labeling components to eliminate the hassle of hazardous radioactive materials and the expense of special disposal costs. The resulting probes are stable for up to one year and can be used to facilitate non-isotopic detection in a variety of applications including electrophoretic mobility shift assays (EMSA)(see PI20148 series), northern or Southern blots, colony hybridizations, or in situ hybridizations. For fast and easy protein extraction kits, see PI89826 series.

: The kit contains sufficient reagents for 20 reactions (each with 5 pmol DNA) and includes 5X TdT Reaction Buffer (1 mL); TdT (terminal deoxynucleotidyl tranferase), (5 µL); Biotin-11-UTP, (1 µL); Unlabeled control oligo, (14 µL); and Biotin-control oligo, (4 µL).
