These Puritan® swabs are ideal for use in bacteriology labs for inoculating broth and plated media, and obtaining culture specimens.

Swabs with adhesive incorporate a nonsterile cotton tip secured by adhesive to the wooden handle. Swabs are also available without adhesive, for use where contamination of critical surfaces is a concern. Swabs are autoclavable.

They are also useful for cleaning delicate laboratory instruments.
