Assurance® mixed multi-element laboratory performance check (LPC) standards for AA & ICP.
Standards may be diluted in the same matrix as specified; however, caution must be exercised in the choice of the source for your diluents. Diluting the matrix may cause some standards to precipitate. Also, an impure or unknown diluent turns your standard into an unknown. We recommend using only SPEX CertiPrep Matrix Blanks when diluting your standards.
The Laboratory Performance Check (LPC) Standard is a solution of method analysis analytes used to evaluate the performance of the instrument. The LPC standard is used immediately following calibration, after every tenth sample, and at the end of the sample run. The analyzed value of each analyte in the LPC solution should be within 95% to 105% of its expected value. If the analyte value is outside of the interval, reanalyze the LPC. If the analyte is again outside of the +/- 5% limit, the instrument should be recalibrated and all samples following the last acceptable LPC solution should be reanalyzed.
