About this item
Gas and liquid sampling valves are used for more complex applications in gas chromatography.
- Gas sampling valves are available in hastelloy C a robust metal alloy ideal for corrosive or polar analytes or Nitrionic 60 stainless steel, which is the standard choice for most general applications
- Gas sampling valves are available as 4, 6, 10, or 14 port valves
- Sample loops for gas sampling valves are available from 0.025 L to 10 ml
- Liquid sampling general purpose valves are stainless steel, and available with 0.2 L, 0.5 L, or 1 L
They are most frequently used to sample gases or liquids in constantly flowing streams such as those in chemical reactors, chemical transfer limes, natural gas processing, and fermenters. Sampling valves can also be used to enable multidimensional GC techniques such as backflush, deans switching, or 2D-GC (GC×GC). However, for nonvalve injections (i.e., made by a typical liquid autosampler), use of capillary flow technology (CFT) is more straightforward. For more challenging valve applications, such as natural gas or transformer oil gas analysis, it offers preconfigured analyzers for optimizing your GC system.
