Lovibond® Comparator Kits

The Lovibond® comparator kits are used for visual color grading of Platinum-Cobalt/Hazen/APHA color.

The color is determined by visually matching a column of sample in a Nessler cylinder with precalibrated colored glass standards, which are stable colored and not affected by UV light or extreme environmental conditions. Because the sample colors are relatively unsaturated, the kit employs a long path length Nessleriser comparator to give greater measurement sensitivity and accuracy.

These are widely used in chemical, food and beverage, oil and gas, pharmaceutical industries and also for chemicals, edible oils and fats, petroleum oils and waxes, waste water treatment.

Lovibond® comparator instruments include an integrated prism which causes the sample and comparison fields to overlap, allowing enhanced colour discrimination and matching. The prism is ultrasonically sealed to prevent contamination of the optics. Each individually graded glass standard represents a discrete step on the measurement range (as opposed to a continuous graduation), aiding colour discrimination and allowing great accuracy of results.

AF325 visual color comparator: Used for lightly colored liquids such as ground water and chemicals.

AF328 and AF329 visual color comparator: Used for light yellow liquids such as water, oils and chemicals.
