Mutations in c-KIT are associated with gastrointestinal stromal tumors, mast cell disease, acute myelogenous leukemia and piebaldism. Recently, deregulation of the KIT receptor TK by the prevalent activation loop mutation D816V has served as a focal point in therapeutic strategies aimed curbing neoplastic mast cell growth. ADP-Glo Kinase Assay is a luminescent kinase assay that measures ADP formed from a kinase reaction; ADP is converted into ATP, which is a substrate in a reaction catalyzed by Ultra-Glo Luciferase that produces light. The luminescent signal positively correlates with ADP amount and kinase activity.
