VWR® Measuring Cylinders are made from Borosilicate 3.3 glass, ASTM 438, Type 1, Class A standard

Cylinders have a large hexagonal base to increase stability. The cylinder’s mouth is equipped with a joint to accommodate a PE stopper. Calibration and toleration standards for measuring cylinders are defined in the standard specifications and practices: ASTM E1272, ASTM E542, ASTM E694, and ISO 4788.

These cylinders are calibrated 'To Contain' and 'To Deliver' precise volumes at a particular temperature, and may be used to measure liquid volume.
