The StaphTEX™ Blue kit tests for both the Clumping Factor and Protein A found in S. aureus. Clumping Factor is detected in both the free and bound form. The easy procedure involves placing several colonies within the raised circle on a white latex agglutination card sold separately. A drop of the blue latex solution is added and mixed with four inch flat-end mixing sticks sold separately. Positives begin to clump immediately. The entire procedure takes less than one minute. Liquid controls are included.

The plasma coated blue latex beads create the easiest read-out ever! Positives rapidly agglutinate the blue beads on a white background, while negatives remain consistently smooth.
