Quantitative determination of ß-Hydroxybutyrate in human serum or plasma.
- Available in two kit configurations
- Determine presence and degree of ketosis
- Linearity 4.5 mmol/L (46.8 mg/dL)
For the Quantitative determination of ß-Hydroxybutyrate in human serum or plasma. The presence and degree of ketosis can be determined by measuring blood levels of ß-hydroxybutyrate. This reagent is available in two kit configurations: a dual reagent kit for open channel chemistry analyzers and a 2 x 90 test kit that may be used directly on the Beckman Synchron® CX, LX and DX analyzers. Both kits include a 3 mL standard. Instrument specific applications are available from the manufacturer for open-channel automated and semi-automated chemistry analyzers. The ß-Hydroxybutyrate Reagent can also be used in a five minute procedure utilizing a spectrophotometer which reads absorbance at 505 nm wavelength.
