TE buffer has traditionally been used to solubilize DNA or RNA, while protecting it from degradation. A common buffer, 'TE' is derived from its components: Tris, a common pH buffer, and EDTA, a molecule that chelates cations like Mg2+. Lonza’s AccugeneTM buffer is the perfect choice for DNA/RNA storage or any of the many other applications TE buffer is used for.
Store all reagents at 18 to 26 °C (64 to 79 °F).
18 megOhm water is filtered using a 0.2 µm filter, and filled into sterile bottles.
