CytoSelect™ Cell Migration and Invasion Assay Combo Kits are ideal for determining the chemotactic and invasive properties of cells

With the CytoSelect™ Cell Migration and Invasion Assay Combo Kits, no manual cell counting is required. Quantitation of cells is performed using a colorimetric or fluorometric dye in a 96-well plate reader. The 8 µm pore size is suitable for most cell types including epithelial cells, fibroblasts, and cancer cell lines. Kits are available in 24-well and 96-well formats.

These kits use a Boyden Chamber in which inserts containing a membrane with a defined pore size are nested in the wells of a cell culture plate. Cells are seeded above the membrane and are allowed to migrate toward a chemoattractant in the lower chamber. Each kit contains two plates, one uncoated for measuring chemotaxis and one coated with a basement membrane protein gel layer to measure invasion.
