About this item

DAB membrane substrate is supplied as a two component liquid substrate system designed for the rapid detection of peroxidase in membrane applications.

  • Three years shelf life

DAB (3,3’-diaminobenzidine) is oxidized in the presence of peroxidase and hydrogen peroxide resulting in the deposition of a brown alcohol-insoluble precipitate at the site of enzymatic activity. The precipitate may range in color from a light golden brown to dark brown depending upon the amount of enzyme present.
