A transparent cover allows the user to see the contents of the box, and is keyed to the base to prevent misalignment. Being printed with a series of squares (numbered from 1 to 100), the surface accepts writing markers for better inventory control. A unique color coding system uses colored plastic grids inserted to separate the cover from the base of the 81-place boxes. Boxes made to accept 100 tubes have a colored base instead of a grid.
