AirClean Systems PCR workstations with UVTect microprocessor control allow you to maintain a clean work area during PCR preparation
The workstations feature a unique interlocking sash with a safety overlap to prevent gaps. The sash also has a safety switch that automatically turns off the ultraviolet light and activates the blower and fluorescent light when the sash is raised. UVTect units have a built-in monitoring system to alert the user when to change the HEPA filter and UV bulb. Polycarbonate construction eliminates cracking and yellowing.
Dead Air Box:
Circulation-free environment with UV light sterilization. This unit has a UV light with a 0-15 minute timer for sterilization between amplifications. A safety interlock switch prevents exposure to UV light when the sash is raised.
Combination Laminar Flow with UV Light:
Combines a Class 100 clean air environment with timed UV light sterilization for optimal protection from sample contamination. Raising the bi-fold sash turns off the UV light and enables the blower. UVTect microprocessor controller monitors UV bulb life and HEPA filter condition constantly. Audible and visible alarms indicate when change-out is required.
The AC600 Series Model LFUVC has a built-in 254 nm ultraviolet light that allows the operator to irradiate tubes, flasks, and pipettes between amplifications. The 254 nm ultraviolet light will effectively destroy potentially contaminating DNA and RNA within minutes. UVTect monitors the life of the bulb to ensure proper levels of irradiation.
