The Cooled Carousel 6 Plus™ Reaction Station allows chemists to perform sub-ambient reactions in a range of flasks from 5mL to 250mL with the option of an inert, moisture-free atmosphere.

The station allows simultaneous stirring and cooling reactions from ambient down to –70°C (–94°F) using up to six round-bottom flasks in 5mL, 10mL, 25mL, 50mL, 100mL, 170mL, and 250mL sizes. As with all Radleys Carousel Stations, any combination of these flask sizes can be used in the Cooled Carousel, which fits on a standard hotplate stirrer.

Cooled Carousel design and technology provides even cooling and the most efficient stirring for samples. The HDPE cooling reservoir is compatible with a wide range of freezing mixtures, including dry ice/acetone. An insulated foam core maintains low temperatures for long periods, reducing condensation and ice formation on outer surfaces while it protects the stirrer from freezing. Additional features include a stainless steel central inlet/outlet for vacuum and inert gas, a radial gas distribution system, and gas-tight PTFE caps for reactions under inert atmospheres. A carousel protective cover maintains temperature of the cooling mixture and reduces risk of solvent spitting.
