About this item
TSKgel® SuperSW columns, introduced in 1997, represent the third generation of high performance gel filtration columns that have become synonymous with analyzing protein molecular weights in the emerging field of biotechnology.
TSKgel SuperSW columns contain smaller particles than TSKgel SWXL columns; 4 versus 5 μm. In addition, the column internal diameter has been reduced from 7.8 to 4.6 mm Int.Ø to provide higher sensitivity in sample-limited cases and to cut down on solvent use. To fully benefit from the high efficiency of 4 μm columns, and because the column diameter of TSKgel SuperSW columns is 4.6 mm, it is important to minimize the amount of dead volume in the HPLC system.
Featuring ultra-efficient 4 μm particles, TSKgel SuperSW2000 and SuperSW3000 columns provide higher efficiency than their TSKgel SWXL column counterparts. The TSKgel SuperSW2000, with a 12.5 nm pore size, results in a fractionation range up to 150000 Da for globular proteins, whereas the TSKgel SuperSW3000 column has a 25 nm pore size that results in a fractionation range up to 500000 Da for globular proteins.
