This steam distillation apparatus is used for the exhaustive distillation of pesticides and industrial chemicals from water, sediments and tissue, and the simultaneous extraction of the distillate by a small volume of organic solvent

The addition of a bulb condenser in place of the straight tube condenser results in more efficient condensing, and reduces blowout. Also, the first bulb above the chimney is larger to avoid choking.

There are [ST] 24/40 joints at top and bottom. It has a solvent capacity of 15 mL. Stopcock is 2 mm bore, 1:5 PTFE. The hose connections are for use with 3/8-inch I.D. tubing.
