Microplate Seals
Avantor offers microplate sealing films and foils for the reduction of evaporation in cell growth, PCR, and ELISA. Choose films of polyester for general incubation, polypropylene for heat resistance, or black vinyl for light sensitive samples. Select transparent models for high optical clarity or porous films for gas exchange. Choose ministrips, rolls, or sheet-based films with heat or pressure based seals. Microplate foils for PCR and cold storage feature medical grade adhesive and are ideal when piercing with pipette tips is required.
VWR® Adhesive PCR Film Seals

These heat resistant 74.9 µm thick films are designed for thermal cycling applications. Polypropylene films are not pierceable. For PCR applications, where piercing with pipette tips or robotic probes is required for product recovery, use aluminium foil films. For Real-Time PCR applications, where maximum optical clarity is required, use optically-clear polyester films.
